Join us to roar on the amazing Lionesses this Sunday

It is often said that the amazing lionesses are by far the stronger and faster of their species. In fact female lions, called lionesses, are actually stronger runners and better hunters than male lions are! Male lions lie around a lot, and get the females to do all the work for them.

So no change there then!

This Sunday at 5pm eleven of the strongest lionesses take to the turf at Wembley. Their job to hunt down the UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 Final when they take on Germany.

And we will be showing the game live here at The Bell in Chearsley.

Join us for a fabulous afternoon with pre-match community singing led by Furry and watch as the game unwinds. We will be having complimentary half time nibbles (but not, as some suggested, a community bath!)

So come along and join us girls and let’s show the Lions that we can go one better than they did last year.

Oh and don’t forget to wear your match kit ladies – if you ask your men, they probably have some languishing from last year 😉

Our beautiful new patio area is really upfront

So here at the Bell in Chearsley we are never sitting still and we wanted to install a new patio area outside at the front of the pub to add to our existing one at the back.

So we got the builders in… Again!

Digging out for the new patio
Building work commences

And yes we probably did pick the hottest days of the year to do the work!

New Patio Flagged
Flagged Out

So here we are – almost finished, the sleeper walls are in place and the flags are (almost) laid, Now I need to work out how to use the area.

And here it is, a brand new seating area at the front of the pub with lovely views over the village green. Come on down and enjoy it – if you haven’t already.
